Agenda
‘토네이도’가 모티브였던 이전 조명 프로젝트에서 파생하여 조명 프로젝트의 포인트 중 ‘연결성’이라는 키워드를 중점적으로 공간화 프로젝트를 진행했었다. 이번 개인 스튜디오 프로젝트에서는 이 두 프로젝트에서 따온 ‘토네이도’와 ‘연결성’이라는 형태적 콘셉트에 스튜디오의 기능을 더했다.
시각디자이너인 클라이언트의 업무 환경을 고려하여 스튜디오 중간에 위치한 중정과 통창을 통해 자연과 최대한 접할 수 있도록 하였다. 또, 방문자와 클라이언트의 동선을 분리하여 개인의 공간을 침해받지 않도록 했다.
Derived from a previous Light Shade Project that was motivated by a ‘tornado’, I carried out a Spatialization Project focusing on the keyword ‘connectivity’ among the points of the Light Shade Project. In this Personal Studio Project, I added the function of a studio to the formal concepts of ‘tornado’ and ‘connectivity’ derived from these two projects.
Considering the work environment of the client, who is a visual designer, the studio was designed to maximize access to nature through the atrium and large windows in the middle. In addition, the paths of visitors and clients were separated to prevent personal space from being violated.
Design
클라이언트는 시각디자이너인 친언니로 설정하였으며, 클라이언트는 작업실과 취미 공간이 중심인 스튜디오를 원했다. 따라서 일과 일상의 공간을 분리하여 설계하고자 하였고, 중간에 공유할 수 있는 공간을 넣어 실 사이 연결성을 추가했다.
일과 일상 공간의 분리와 연결성을 고려하여 층을 구성하고 각 공간에 필요한 방을 정리하였으며 개인 스튜디오인만큼 클라이언트의 동선과 방문자의 동선을 분리하였다.

Considering the separation and connectivity of work and daily life spaces, the floors were organized and the rooms necessary for each space were organized. As it is a personal studio, the client’s route and the visitor’s route were separated.
처음엔 기능적인 부분에서의 효율을 생각하며 디자인했지만 디벨롭 과정에서 조명과 공간화에서 가져온 ‘연결성’이라는 키워드를 잘 나타낼 수 있도록 설계하려 했다. 디벨롭할수록 기능과 형태를 합치시키고자노력하였다.
‘연결성’을 살려 건물을 설계하는 과정에서 공간을 어떻게 나눌 것인지가 가장 어려웠다. 이는 같은 층 내에서 단차로 공간을 구분하는 방식으로 해결하였다.
At first, i designed it with efficiency in terms of functionality in mind, but during the development process, i tried to design it so that it could well represent the keyword of ‘connectivity’ brought about by Light Shade Project and Spatialization Project. As I developed it, I tried to combine function and form.
In the process of designing a building that takes advantage of ‘connectivity’, the most difficult part was figuring out how to divide the space. This was solved by dividing the space by steps within the same floor.
